For the last few years, the words “eco,” “green,” and “organic” and have definitely made their way into the mainstream consciousness. Almost everything you want to buy has an eco-friendly alternative it seems!  While it can be easy to get caught up in trends (and I do admit, I love trend watching!), when I choose eco-friendly alternatives, I definitely feel like a smart shopper!

While I don’t buy organic everything, one area that I make an effort to do so in is the realm of baby bedding! I know it might seem like a slightly random choice, but I thought about it – babies spend a lot of their time in cribs, so it seems logical to want to surround them in the healthiest things possible. Organic cotton is grown without the use of chemicals, so this is a big plus. The fewer chemicals, the better!  And as well all know, babies love to put any and everything they can into their cute little mouths!

Once I made the switch, I was happy to find so many great companies online offering super cute baby bedding! The Ultimate Green Store has lots of great options. You can also find great organic baby clothes there – perfect for little ones with sensitive skin.

Also, I love Pottery Barn, so I was happy to see that Pottery Barn kids has a selection of organic products as well. The Penelope Crib Sheeting is just darling!
